Matthieu Alessi
Working to create worlds one panel at a time, through visual storytelling.
Self-taught digital artist focused on dark fantasy, worldbuilding and graphic novels. I design characters, environments and visual narratives for fictional universes.
Based in France, I've been drawing imaginary worlds for as long as I can remember — dark fantasy characters, ruined environments and the stories that connect them. My work moves between concept art, illustration and graphic novels, always with the same goal: building places that feel like they existed before the page, and continue after it.

Desiderata is a dark-fantasy universe I'm building over the long term, one piece at a time — characters, environments and short sequences that slowly map out its world.
Stellar Serenade is a short sci-fi comic, shown here with the concept art behind it.
